This is a Fisherman’s Paradise!
Kentucky Lake is one of the world’s largest artificial lakes. It was created in 1944 when the Tennessee River was dammed by the Kentucky Dam at Gilbertsville. Kentucky Lake provides approximately 160,000 acres of fishable water, with the Tessessee River serving as the main channel of the lake. Our resort is near Blood River which is a large inlet of Kentucky Lake. It provides seclusion from the main waters and plenty of stumps, culverts and old foundations that make excellent fishing areas. Record catches of largemouth and smallmouth bass have been caught in the waters near our resort. Other common catches include a wide variety of catfish, perch, carp, bass and bluegill fish.
